Focus and Scope
AURA: Advanced Nursing Quarterly is focusing on disseminating rigorous nursing scholarship and practice innovations across adult medical-surgical care, maternity and newborn health, paediatrics, emergency and critical care, psychiatric and mental health nursing, community and public health, gerontology and long-term care, palliative and end-of-life support, and holistic nursing. The journal welcomes original research, reviews, perspectives, and case studies that strengthen patient–nurse relationships, evidence-based decision making, quality and safety, leadership and service management, ethics, health informatics, and health systems improvement in diverse clinical and community settings worldwide for clinicians, educators, and researchers.
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
- Adult medical-surgical nursing across major body systems and pain management.
- Maternity, childbirth, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and women’s reproductive health.
- Paediatric and neonatal nursing, child development, nutrition, and wellbeing.
- Emergency and critical care: trauma, resuscitation, acute illness, disaster response.
- Psychiatric and mental health nursing across lifespan and care settings.
- Community and public health nursing in rural and urban primary/secondary care.
- Gerontology and aged care across long-term and healthy ageing continuums.
- Holistic and palliative care, plus evidence-based practice, ethics, leadership, informatics, quality and safety.
Publication Frequency
AURA is published four times a year in January, April, July and October.
Journal History
AURA: Advanced Nursing Quarterly has been published regularly by Pub Academy on a quarterly basis since 2026.
Article Processing Charges
There are no fees for submission, peer review or publication. Authors and readers pay no charges at any stage of the process.
