Focus and Scope

PROFICIENT: Periodical Frontiers in Education Management publishes peer-reviewed research on how education is led, organised, funded and improved across schools, colleges and universities. It welcomes work on governance, accountability, equity, professional practice, decision-making and reform at institutional, system and international levels. The journal also covers strategic planning, digital administration, quality assurance, programme evaluation, comparative case studies, leadership development, lifelong learning and mobility, alongside rigorous methods for organisational and system improvement in diverse political, legal and cultural contexts.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

PROFICIENT is published four times a year in January, April, July and October.

PROFICIENT: Periodical Frontiers in Education Management has been published regularly by Pub Academy on a quarterly basis since 2026.

There are no fees for submission, peer review or publication. Authors and readers pay no charges at any stage of the process.
