Focus and Scope
PEARL: Pharmacy Studies Quarterly is focusing on research across pharmaceutical and clinical sciences, from drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, computational design, and biotechnology to pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutics, formulation, and drug delivery. The journal also covers pharmacognosy, natural and herbal products, nutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals, pharmaceutical analysis and technology, microbiology, and biopharmaceutics. Practice-oriented work in community, hospital and clinical pharmacy, pharmacoeconomic, pharmacoepidemiology, social and administrative pharmacy, education, and public health is welcomed.
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
- Drug discovery and development, including targeting and structure-based design.
- Medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry, including computational chemistry and bioinformatics.
- Pharmacology, toxicology, and safety assessment.
- Pharmacokinetics, biopharmaceutics, and pharmacogenomics.
- Pharmaceutics, formulation science, and drug delivery systems.
- Pharmaceutical technology, analysis, and industrial pharmacy.
- Pharmacognosy, natural products, herbal medicines, nutraceuticals, and cosmeceuticals.
- Pharmacy practice and systems: community, clinical, hospital, education, pharmacoeconomic, pharmacoepidemiology, social and administrative pharmacy.
Publication Frequency
PEARL is published four times a year in January, April, July and October.
Journal History
PEARL: Pharmacy Studies Quarterly has been published regularly by Pub Academy on a quarterly basis since 2026.

There are no fees for submission, peer review or publication. Authors and readers pay no charges at any stage of the process.
